Dear Edie,

 

First of all, sorry I have not spoken to you lately via email! It has been a very busy time finishing up our RED month of February. WOW, what finish it was!! We now have 2 new Master Coordinators in qualification!! Congratulations to Marty and Sheryl Turner (Actually qualified in January) and to Paul and Jackie Birdsall!!!!! Way to go!! They are building an incredible bright and colorful future that includes lots of GREEN!!

 

Speaking of Green. It has been VERY BLUE, Green and Gold week for me. I am a HUGE Green Bay Packer fan and with Wisconsins favorite son, Brett Favre announcing his retirement, I have been in a very blue state of mind.

 

#4 has provided the sports world with many great moments and LESSONS we can all use to apply to building our Networking businesses. Here are just a couple of things that come to mind:

 

LEADERSHIP: Any Champion caliber organization is lead by a leader that takes on the responsibility of simply showing up. Brett was ALWAYS there. ARE YOU? Does your group KNOW that you will be there? Meetings, Trainings, Conference calls, Special Events or maybe just being available for quick phone conversation or a timely response to an email question, ARE YOU THERE? Are you sponsoring NEW people hence leading by example? This is a leadership business! Remember the speed of the leader is the speed of the group! No matter how big or small your group is YOU are the leader of your team! Take the challenge!

 

PASSION and FUN: Brett always seemed to be having fun because he was doing something he loved. Do you have PASSION for your business? Are you excited about the future? Are you fired up about your business? Remember this old saying: "Catch on fire about something and people will come from miles to watch you burn!!" :-)

 

PREPARATION: Favre was always ready to play. Lots of WORK went in before every Sunday! Are you putting in the work needed to walk across the stage at convention to get your recognition? Being recognized for your next promotion title is an awesome event but the WORK needed to get there is not that glamerous and often goes unnoticed BUT is absolutly part of the deal! Are you preparing for your ultimate success?

 

TEAM FIRST: Even with all the personal accolades he recieved, Brett always knew that the TEAM always came first! We are always striving for personal recognition, which is healthy as long as it is placed in the context of the TEAM! We are on an incredible collective team and you need to believe that your group is a major part of that team. Our mission of bringing Shaklee around the globe is an important one on so many levels. Make sure that you represent yourself proudly as a part of the Shaklee family in everything that you do!

 

WINNING is what matters!! Winning in your business is an individuals finish line. Whatever your goals are, big or small, GO FOR IT! This is our chance to WIN the big one! Let's go out and do what it takes to make it happen!!

 

With respect to all the Chicago Bears fans out there, I will stop here with the homage to Brett! (You will get enough of it from other sources!) :-) Plus I need to go wash my #4 jersey I have been wearing all week in protest of his decision.

 

I will be starting a new series of emails this month focusing on how we take the different personality colors and how we assemble a winning team. Should be fun!
