Dear Edie,
I am not sure if you are a sports fan or not but I happen to be a HUGE Green Bay Packer football fan. (Sorry if you are a Bears fan... no really, I am sorry! :-)) But
Sunday Night was NO FUN!!! In case you did not know it the NY Giants beat the Pack to advance to the Super Bowl! Congrats to the men in BLUE! (Of all colors
wouldn't you know it!)
Anyway, it got me thinking of our business, as most things usually do. The time, the dedication, the effort, THE WORK! that
it takes for a team just to get into that position of trying to reach the very top! Are we putting forth that kind of effort into our businesses??
I know that the WINNER had an awful lot of FUN in the locker room after they won the game. Holding that trophy, giving high fives, smiling, laughing and
SUCCEEDING is FUN!
BLUE personalities live for the fun of victories. Every BLUE wants to win just to enjoy that feeling. Walking across the
stage to get a big check, another ribbon or the roar of the crowd is the end goal! BUT for every winner there is a price to be paid FIRST! And it usually comes in
the form of work!
For those of us in this business that work is making the calls, setting the appointments, doing the meetings, following up. The fundamental blocking and tackling
drills if you will. Practice makes perfect! How hard are you practicing? How hard are we working? Do you deserve to go to the Super Bowl? Or is your effort level
such that you will even miss the playoffs?
Since we are in the game, let's make it a priority to do the necessary things to put ourselves in position to WIN! Talk to somebody new about our opportunity and
our products TODAY!
Come on, let's 'HIT' somebody today!
The end reward will be great FUN!!
The great thing about our business is that we don't have to 'wait til next year', our season starts over every day!
